Vaping to quit smoking: Managing your nicotine levels

Most people pick up vaping as a healthier alternative to smoking. Vaping is tobacco free and has been scientifically proven to be less harmful than cigarettes, so it's certainly a useful tool when it comes to quitting. Dependency on cigarettes comes from two things - the addicitive qualities of nicotine and the behaviour associated with smoking. As well as getting 'hooked' on nicotine, we also get hooked into the act of smoking as part of our routine. The challenge smokers have is giving these things up, and vaping helps in a number of ways, including the ability to micro-manage nicotine levels.

Why switching to vaping could be the best Christmas gift

We all know those people who smoke cigarettes reluctantly. Most have been smokers all their lives but they don't really enjoy it. It's their primary source of nicotine and, try as they might, they just can't give it up. They may have dabbled in vaping in the past or thought about taking the leap but haven't had the support or equipment they need to get started. Of course, some vapers still enjoy nicotine, but the difference is that they can accurately control the amount of nicotine they're taking in depending on which e-juice they choose. This customisation is perfect for those looking to quit nicotine, as it offers full control instead of the 'all or none' process of smoking a cigarette.

Vaping 101: How to pick the right atomizer

Vape sales are surging as consumers grow more health conscious

Many experts dubbed 2016 the 'year of the health product'. It got that moniker due to a shift in public awareness when it comes to staying fit and healthy. Health and fitness products like Fitbits and groceries such as almond milk and avacados saw a boom in places like the UK and US, denoting a general trend toward healthy living. In the same year, sales of vape kits and e-cigarettes rose 30% to £81m. It's safe to say that vaping is a booming industry and lots of people are getting on board, but it's curious that while sales are booming during these 'health conscious' times, places like New York state are laying out public bans. Why? Can vaping really be part of an internation health kick, or do we simply have our heads in the clouds?

Quit smoking: how to choose the right vape kit for you

Now that 2017 is drawing to a close, it's a good chance to look back across the year and see what's happened in the world of vaping. There's no doubt it's been monumental. We've had a landmark study from Public Health England which claims that vaping is 95% less harmful than tobacco. Despite vaping being banned in some public spaces around New York, it's still booming in popularity. And last but not least, cigarette sales are falling in key markets like the UK and US. This may not be good for the government's purse (think tobacco tax), but it's certainly good news for everyone else. It's largely down to smokers who want to become ex-smokers, and how vaping helps them achieve it. If you're currently hooked on cigarettes and think that, like thousands of others, you may be able cut them out of your life by vaping as a healthy alternative, where do you start?
